Ikemen Prince: Interview with VA Hiroyuki Yasumoto (Jin Grandet)

You may have seen Hiroyuki Yasumoto as Germany in Hetalia: Axis Powers Sado from Bleach and Nekomaru Nidai from the Danganronpa series!

What are your impressions of the game?

I was pretty embarrassed when I heard the title "lkemen Prince" called out, but the title gets straight to the point and stands out, so I think it's a wonderful name.

What were your first impressions of your character, and what do you find appealing about him?

He's an interesting man who speaks his mind. He seems to be an aloof and open-minded person, but I felt from his lines that he has a wound from some incident that went wrong in the past. I enjoy how he's not a straightforward character and has depth.

What were some things you were particular about I when you voiced him?

He often says suggestive things, but since he's a prince, I made sure he doesn't sound vulgar. I thought it would be better to leave a touch of class to his lines. I hope I was able to bring out his charm, so even when he says erotic things, people would still forgive him and find him charming.

Who are other characters that you're interested in and why?

I like Clavis.

I think his appearance, especially his eyes, look crazy (in a good way).

Speaking of the title "lkemen Prince", if you were to call yourself "___ Prince", what would you put in the blank?

I guess that would be "Self-Sufficient Prince". Lately, I've been really into fishing at sea. I make my own sashimi, but it tastes even better if you let it sit for a while. I take the fish I catch, slice them up into three pieces, and age them in the chill drawer in my fridge. I'm thinking of what kind of fish to eat today. I love fish that can be eaten, so I've fished for thread-sail filefish and blackthroat seaperch. Next, I'll try red tilefish!

Do you have a message for your fans?

Out of all the otome games out there, I feel this is one of the brilliant ones. Try playing the game, even if it's just a little bit. It would be great if you find a character you like and get really into the game. I hope you have a great time.
